Thank you! If you do try it, I’d especially love feedback on search and whether the @stacksave habit feels natural vs. a browser button. Still early, so honest comparisons help a lot.
I love that it emails you a digest! When you first asked about this idea, I wasn’t sure I’d use it but that way you designed it looks fantastic. And hopefully the tag helps stacksave with visibility and organic growth. Very clever.
Linnea — this means a lot, especially coming from someone who wasn't sure at first. That was exactly the design bet: your saves stay private, but the digest brings them back to you on your schedule — not another feed to babysit.
And yes — the public @stacksave tag is intentional. It's a quiet signal to the writer ("this was worth keeping"), and it helps people discover the tool organically. Clever only works if it feels natural; glad it lands that way for you.
If you try one save, remember to pick @stacksave from the dropdown so it's a blue link — then check stacksave.live when the welcome email lands. Would love to hear what breaks (or delights) once you're in and have used it five times.
I am very new to Substack, and this sounds great. My newness means that I'm still trying to wrap my head around how even a simple tool like this works, but I'll get there. Thank you very much.
There is a delay that can be up to one hour. Please check your promotion and spam folders, as new email domains have not built enough trust signals yet.
Let me know if you run into issues with the service. Sometimes there can be a delay of up to one hour after subscribing before the data is synced. You can request the magic link email using "Open your archive" on https://stacksave.live/landing
Daft question. I don't know if this has to do with the fact that I'm blind and can't see the screen, or just my newest to Substack, but where is the drop-down menu where we are supposed to select it and turn it into a blue link?
The @ mention feature doesn't work everywhere, and in some cases, like community chat, it depends on the publication settings (comments may be configured as available to subscribers only, and @ mention depend on your subscription status.
For Notes, it appears to work most of the time, as well as when restacking with a comment.
Very clever, and the marketing is built-in. This is much better than my "Save to Vault" button I created as a Chrome extension. I'll try it out.
Hi Kurt,

Of course this is the week Substack introduces saving notes….
I beat them by two days 🤣
I mean I can find saved note by you. I still don’t know where saved notes in Substack goes.
Perhaps it is saved into their internal AI training repository 🤣?
Maybe, but I have yet to find the notes I saved.....
Did you try opening your archive using your Substack email address?
https://stacksave.live/landing
Ok I think I tried signing up before I had any stack saves. I have done some now, but it isn't sending me the link to look at them.
I've wanted this forever! Saving an image of the note doesn't cut it. This sounds perfect!
Just did a test and it worked perfectly, Thank you, Finn for everything you're creating for the Substack community!
Denise — thank you. Coming from someone who’s spent years helping writers get found, that means a lot. Glad StackSave passed the real-world test.
If anything feels off as you use it more, I’m all ears — you’re exactly the kind of person I'm building this for.

I will absolutely let you know. Thank you for your continued efforts to make Substack a place that works for us, in our workflows. 💜
That is really smart!
Thanks! The @stacksave in-note flow was the whole idea — glad it lands.
Super cool I plan to use this!
Awesome, thanks! Let me know how it goes.
Fantastic! Thanks for this information
Glad it was helpful — subscribe to https://stacksave.substack.com/ and @stacksave a note when you’re ready to try it.

Love the idea Finn, but unfortunately I’m not receiving the magic link in my mail. I am trying to access from India, if that helps.
Hey Darshana,
There is a delay that can be up to one hour. Please check your promotion and spam folders, as new email domains have not built enough trust signals yet.
Ah I understand, I registered just now. I'll wait an hour. It isn't in the spam or promotion folder either. Will let you know if I don't receive it.
I'll check when I get back home... walking my dog right now
Sure, no rush. Enjoy the walk!
I did check your status:
Welcome email sent at 14:05 UTC today (~5 minutes after signup)
No delivery errors on record
I’ll send you a DM with more details.
This is excellent. Thanks!
Thanks for subscribing, @Larry C. Brown
Let me know if you have any trouble.
Great - how long before I get the new monthly fee message or lose access to my “saves”?
I'm planning to keep this as a free service. You can export your saved data at any time. Any ideas how to improve it are welcome...
Thank you that addresses the concern I raised. Seems like a great product/service - thanks for creating!
